Koji has served chemicals and industrial materials sector for more than 30 years in industry and consulting combined.
Koji rejoined Arthur D. Little’s Tokyo office in 2014 as a Principal. Both a member of ADL’s Chemical and S&O practices, Koji leads chemicals team in Tokyo office.
Koji has served chemicals and industrial materials sectors for more than 30 years in industry and consulting combined. His long-term commitment to the industry is a key driver to earn trust from executives of clients.
Koji’s main consulting focus is technology-driven business development for chemicals and performance materials and he is also actively working on transaction support and transformation with his expertise on corporate finance. Recently he has an increasing focus on sustainability to accommodate industry’s growing interest
Koji has performed a key role to expand relationships with leading chemicals companies in Japan, for example, Mitsubishi, Sumitomo, and Mitsui as well as Toray and AGC by extending convergence with application industry practices such as AMG and HC, in particular, and by aligning with ADL 4.0. In addition, he is involved in a growing number of leads and projects for chemicals clients of the offices outside Japan as an industry expert.
Koji started his business career at Toray Industries, Inc., where he was involved in various initiatives on business development including M&As and strategic alliances as a senior corporate staff. Prior to joining Arthur D. Little, he also worked at other consulting firms such as Booz Allen Hamilton.
He holds an MBA form Cornell University and a Master and a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering and Management Science from Tokyo Institute of Technology.
